Last night saw the recent London College of Fashion Design and Technology BA graduate fashion show showcasing a host of future design stars, held at its new location of The Dairy in central London.
Each of the 26 graduating designers presented their debut collection in a full-force fashion show, attended by a packed audience which included Edith Bowman, Mr Hudson, Diana Vickers and Harold Tillman.
There was a strong menswear presence on the catwalk with Amber Siegel’s collection showing a mix of tailored evening pieces and luxe-feel outerwear in inky and charcoal tones with subtle fur trims. Also notable were Jade Jung Sun Kim’s display of neutrals with jodhpur inspired leg-wear and over-sized funnel necks, as well as Matthew Coats’ take on re-worked shirting and separates.
The coveted Collection of the Year award went to menswear designer Nattaphon Sampataphakdee from Thailand, whose tailored menswear collection was inspired by French photographer Henri Cartier-Breeson and featured multi-panelled suiting in a mix of neutral and grey tones, a long tailored overcoat, and slim-fit slightly cropped trousers.
Other awards went to womenswear designer Karishma Shahani for Fashion Textiles, the Design and Technology award went to Yelena Loguiiko for her beautiful folklore inspired collection, and Vilvin Sabu was was awarded for Best use of Embellishment.
We don’t know about you, but we’re putting our orders in already…
